Summertime
offerings include the free Beckwith Park Summer Concert Series on
Thursday evenings, while winter features the Ice Time Festival and
the Candlelight Christmas Parade.
We pay tribute to Dowagiac's rich heritage and respect the contributions
of all citizens past and present. Native American Pow-Wows, some open
to the public, are held by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians
to preserve their culture and traditions for future generations.
The museum
at Southwestern Michigan College takes its visitors
on a trip through the early days of Dowagiac.
Recent renovations in the Downtown Business District reflect the strong
Victorian influence. These influences are also visible in the architecture
of our historic homes.
Whether you are relocating, or just visiting our city, Dowagiac has
something for everyone! |
